When a person or company chooses an employee for DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) it can have massive drawbacks.

Such is the situation that the Democrat Party finds itself in as it looks to jettison President Joe Biden from the presidential ticket and seeks to replace him.

The candidate in prime position to fill that vacancy is Vice President Kamala Harris, who happens to be a black woman.

Many people, including Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, believe that she was chosen for the role simply because of her race and gender.

And, he believes that the fact that the Democrat Party is, for all intents and purposes, stuck with her is a victory for the concept of meritocracy over DEI.

“The cognitive test is a sore point. Why doesn’t Joe just settle it? Because he knows he can’t. It’s like asking Hunter to pee in the cup. The cup gets the clap. You know, it’s delicious irony, Harold, that what stands in the way of an administration soaking in DEI is an old, white, angry man. A Democrat. Not a Republican. A liberal progressive. Not a country-clubbing conservative,” the host said.

“And the fact that they don’t have a deep bench and the least-talented candidate, the one they have the least amount of confidence in, is a black female who was chosen for this moment. This is a pure, unadulterated victory for the concept, Harold, of meritocracy,” he said.

At a rally held at the Trump National Doral Golf Club in Florida, Trump critiqued Biden’s recent debate performance and hinted at ongoing speculation regarding his potential running mate for the upcoming presidential race on the Republican ticket.

Trump said Harris was the “best insurance policy I’ve ever seen,” adding that her unpopularity and incompetence were helping Biden keep a grip on the Democratic Party. Trump noted, “If Joe had picked someone even halfway competent,” the Democrats “would have bounced him from office years ago.”

“Our victory was so absolute that Joe’s own party now wants him to throw in the towel and surrender the presidency after a single 90-minute performance,” Trump said. “They want ‘Crooked Joe’ out of the race. It’s a shame the way they’re treating him. But don’t feel sorry for him. He’s a very bad guy.”
