President Donald Trump is set to address a joint session of Congress on Tuesday evening, delivering a speech titled “Renewal of the American Dream.”
Following a dramatic moment in the Oval Office that drew global attention just days ago during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump will take the podium to outline his vision for the United States and highlight the achievements of his administration in the first month of his second term.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has emphasized that Trump has already achieved a historic amount in this short period, the Daily Wire reported.
“President Trump has accomplished more in one month than any president in four years – and the renewal of the American Dream is well underway,” she said in a statement. “In his Joint Address to Congress, President Trump will celebrate his extraordinarily successful first month in office while outlining his bold, ambitious, and common sense vision for the future. President Trump’s Joint Address will be MUST-SEE TV.”
Both President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have invited guests to the Joint Address, which presidents deliver in place of a State of the Union during their first year in office. These guests, selected from across the United States, have unique and compelling stories, The Daily Wire has learned.
A senior White House official told The Daily Wire that Trump’s speech will center on four key points.
First, he will review the accomplishments of his administration in its first month, both domestically and internationally. Next, he will address the state of the economy inherited from President Joe Biden, outlining his strategy to fix it and bring inflation under control.
Trump will also urge Congress to approve additional funding for the border wall and deportation efforts. Finally, he will conclude by detailing his plan to resolve global conflicts.
“TOMORROW NIGHT WILL BE BIG,” the president said in a Truth Social post on Monday, adding, “I WILL TELL IT LIKE IT IS!”
A senior White House official said in reference to the post: “As always, President Trump will keep it real and speak the truth.”
