President Donald Trump has taken unprecedented action against the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists since he became president, but he says they have not seen anything yet.
The terrorist group has continued to attack United States interests and ships in the region, and the president has warned them that the worst is yet to come.
“The Iran-backed Houthi Terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks. Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us. We hit them every day and night — Harder and harder,” the president said on his TruthSocial account.
“Their capabilities that threaten Shipping and the Region are rapidly being destroyed. Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation. The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran,” he said.
From Friday to Saturday the United States launched strikes against cities in Yemen that are controlled by the Iran-backed militants.
The attacks made news last month when a liberal journalist, Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic, was inadvertently added to a Signal chat with top defense officials who were planning the attack.
“I think it’s just a witch hunt and the fake news, like you, talk about it all the time, but it’s just a witch hunt, and it shouldn’t be talked [about],” the president said to NBC News after affirming that he has confidence in Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
“We had a tremendously successful strike. We struck very hard and very lethal. And nobody wants to talk about that. All they want to talk about is nonsense. It’s fake news,” the president said.
“I have no idea what Signal is. I don’t care what Signal is,” he said. “All I can tell you is it’s just a witch hunt, and it’s the only thing the press wants to talk about, because you have nothing else to talk about. Because it’s been the greatest 100-day presidency in the history of our country.”
