The Federal Bureau of Investigation, led by new Director Kash Patel, is dropping the hammer on those who have committed acts of domestic terrorism against Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and vehicles.

On Friday, the FBI issued a bulletin warning Americans of potential future attacks.

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is informing the public of recent nationwide incidents targeting Tesla electric vehicles (EV), dealerships, storage lots, and charging stations. Since January 2025, incidents targeting Tesla EVs have occurred in at least nine states. These incidents have involved arson, gunfire, and vandalism, including graffiti expressing grievances against those the perpetrators perceive to be racists, fascists, or political opponents. These criminal actions appear to have been conducted by lone offenders, and all known incidents occurred at night,” the bulletin said.

“Individuals require little planning to use rudimentary tactics, such as improvised incendiary devices and firearms, and may perceive these attacks as victimless property crimes,” it said.

“The FBI urges the public to exercise vigilance and to look out for suspicious activity in areas occupied by Tesla dealerships or Tesla-related entities,” the bulletin went on.

It said that potential threat activity included “Violent threats made online referencing specific Tesla properties, Inquiring or examining security measures at Tesla dealerships, Photography of security-related equipment or personnel at Tesla dealerships, Unusual surveillance or interest in Tesla-related entities, Attempts to gain access to restricted areas or bypass security measures at Tesla-related properties.”

The Justice Dept. announced charges against three individuals allegedly connected to attacks against “Tesla properties.”

“Today, Attorney General Pamela Bondi announced charges against three individuals responsible for the violent destruction of Tesla properties. All three defendants will face the full force of the law for using Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla cars and charging stations,” it said in a press release.

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” Attorney General Pamela Bondi said. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”
