In an exchange during a White House press briefing, Fox News’ Peter Doocy confronted press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about polling data indicating a perception of President Biden’s declining mental acuity. Doocy cited an ABC poll showing a five-point drop in Biden’s health rating and a four-point dip in mental sharpness since May.

When asked about the poll, Jean-Pierre initially responded with skepticism, asking, “Which poll is this?” Doocy clarified that it was an ABC poll, prompting Jean-Pierre to express confusion. She then shifted the focus to tout Biden’s legislative accomplishments, stating, “I have to say that’s a little confusing for me, because if you look at what this president has done the last three years, historical pieces of legislation, right?”
Doocy pressed Jean-Pierre on her reference to “your favorite president,” leading to a back-and-forth exchange. “Who’s my favorite president?” Doocy interjected, to which Jean-Pierre responded provocatively, “Why don’t you…why don’t we let the American people guess?” The exchange continued as Doocy sought clarification, stating, “I don’t understand what you’re getting at.”
Jean-Pierre insisted, “Let me finish. Let me finish,” and went on to contrast Infrastructure Week under a previous administration with what she called the “Infrastructure Decade” under President Biden. She highlighted legislative achievements like the Chips and Science Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, asserting their lasting impact.
Doocy also questioned Jean-Pierre about the border crisis, specifically referencing an illegal immigrant accused of sexual abuse being released despite an ICE detainer.
Q: Doesn't an illegal immigrant being charged with sexually assaulting a minor in Virginia show you have no clue who's coming into this country!?
