Trump Slams "Hack" Judge Arthur Engoron, Says He Has $500 Million On-Hand

Former President Trump said he had $500 million in cash on hand, suggesting he’s ready to post bond in the New York civil fraud case on Monday as required by a judge. Despite facing a $454 million civil fraud judgment, Trump remains defiant, vowing to fight the politically motivated attack, Fox News reports.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump declared, “Through hard work, talent, and luck, I currently have almost five hundred million dollars in cash.” He accused New York Judge Arthur Engoron, who presided over the case, of bias, calling him an “often overturned political hack judge” and labeling the proceedings as “communism in America.”

Trump’s legal team, facing the daunting task of securing the required bond, has characterized the demand as a “practical impossibility,” noting the unprecedented magnitude of the requirement. According to Trump’s attorneys, the bond effectively necessitates cash reserves nearing $1 billion, a figure they deem excessive for a private company.

Meanwhile, New York Attorney General Letitia James has been unwavering in her pursuit of Trump, dismissing his claims and insisting that he should be able to secure the bond value through various means. Trump’s attorney Clifford S. Robert has pushed back, arguing that James’ efforts are “unconstitutional.”

Despite the legal battles, Trump remains resolute, with his team exploring “all options on the table” and preparing for various outcomes. A source familiar with the matter revealed that they are “hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst,” underscoring the high stakes involved.
