Carson: ‘Pretty Much Guarantee’ Biden Couldn’t Pass Simple Cognitive Test

Former Trump administration HUD Secretary and neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson is sounding the alarm on President Joe Biden.

“Just look at the different interviews over the years and compare the way he speaks now to the way he spoke, you know, five years ago, ten years ago. Obviously, a big decline. That’s not something that is normal,” the former head of the Department of Housing and Urban Development said in an interview with The Daily Wire. “There is a decline with aging and memory and various other things, but not to that degree. There is something else going on with him.”

He said that it would be simple for the president to be evaluated for short term memory issues but the White House refuses to do so.

“They’ll ask questions like, count down from 100 by 7s. They’ll ask you to name three objects, you can pick any three objects you want and tell them what they are, then they’ll ask you a whole bunch of other questions, and then they’ll say, ‘what were those three objects?’ just to test your short term memory,” he said. “They’re not difficult questions … but I can pretty much guarantee you that he wouldn’t be able to do that.”

Fallout from Special Counsel Robert Hur’s damning report regarding President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified information continued this week after he released his findings, and much of it has to do not with Biden’s documents but with his declined mental state.

Hur’s 388-page report, which took the White House by surprise and sent shockwaves through the administration, documented Biden’s memory loss dating back nearly a decade, which clearly puts him in 25th Amendment territory.

“Mr. Biden will likely present himself to the jury, as he did during his interview with our office, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,” Hur wrote in explaining his rationale for refusing prosecution. “…It would be difficult to convince a jury they should convict him – by then a former president who will be at least well into his eighties – of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.”

“Our investigation uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” the report said, adding that Biden also could not recall the years he served as vice president or the year his son, Beau, died of brain cancer.
