Shooting Suspect Linked to Justin Bieber's Friend in Nashville Was Free on Bond for Another Murder

The suspect in the fatal Nashville robbery involving a California rapper associated with Justin Bieber was out on bond for a 2021 murder, the city police revealed.

Christopher Cheeks, a 32-year-old rapper known as Chris King, succumbed to a gunshot wound during a confrontation with muggers on Hayes Street, while another man with him sustained a gunshot wound, as per police reports.

Adrian Cameron, 19, was being pursued by Nashville detectives for his alleged involvement in the murder of Josh Evans, 50, found shot dead in the Cumberland River. Cameron was required to wear an ankle monitor at the time.

According to the surviving victim, a 29-year-old friend of Cheeks, the suspects initially engaged in friendly interaction before attempting the robbery.

Cheeks, who once shared a living space with Bieber, garnered condolences from the pop star and other celebrities on social media following his death, Fox reports.

Cameron, whose father died in a shootout with the Nashville SWAT team, had evaded authorities for six months after Evans’ murder before surrendering.

Police urge anyone with information on Cameron’s whereabouts to contact them at 615-742-7463.
