Podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan told guest Gina Carano that he believed Ron DeSantis would “work as a good president.” Rogan made the comments after the actress asked if he would be endorsing anyone in the 2024 election.
Rogan said that what DeSantis has been able to do in “Florida “has been admirable.” He made the comments after saying that the United States had a “dead man” as a president, and after Carano asked Rogan if tech billionaire Elon Musk had made an endorsement for DeSantis, which he did earlier this month.

“I feel like what he did for Florida, a lot of people gave him a lot of grief. But ultimately, he was correct,” said Rogan. “He was correct when it comes to deaths. He was correct when it comes to protecting our vulnerable populations. He was correct in terms of distribution of monoclonal antibodies, and he was furious when the government tried to pull those very effective treatments,” said Rogan.
In September of last year, DeSantis slammed the Biden administration for withholding monoclonal antibodies from the state, with the FDA later prohibiting the state from using the treatment.
Rogan said that DeSantis was not a perfect candidate, but that he would make a good candidate despite claims from the left that DeSantis stands for bigotry and hatred.
Interestingly, DeSantis “endorsed” Rogan and defended him from what the governor called a “liberal mob” and said that he “shouldn’t have to apologize” for repeatedly using a racist slur.
While not an official endorsement, a nod to DeSantis would be seen as a large tilt to the right by the world-famous podcaster, who endorsed socialist candidate Bernie Sanders for president in the Democratic primary.
That endorsement drew the ire of mainstream media propagandists like CNN, who wrote in an article that: “Bernie Sanders is facing backlash from some Democrats after his campaign trumpeted an endorsement from comedian Joe Rogan, a popular podcast and YouTube talk show host with a history of making racist, homophobic and transphobic comments.”
