White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said during Friday’s press conference that the newly crowned queen of debunking “disinformation”, Nina Jankowicz’s of the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board (Ministry of Truth) is an “expert on online disinformation,” and has “extensive qualifications.”
She said: “she’s an expert on online disinformation. She was formerly in the Wilson Center’s disinformation — she was formerly a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center. She’s testified before Congress as well as the United Kingdom and European Parliaments. Advised a Ukrainian foreign minister, particularly relevant in this moment, under the auspices of a Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship, and overseen Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute.”
She continued” “Any hiring decisions are up to the Department of Homeland Security, but this is a person with extensive qualifications.”

Yesterday, Psaki appeared to not know much about the board of its purpose.
“What I can tell you,” she said to a question about so-called “misinformation” that has been proven facual, “is that it sounds like the objective of the board is to prevent disinformation and misinformation from traveling around the country in a range of communities.”
“I’m not sure who opposes that effort.”
“Can you give us an idea of what this board is going to be doing? What their authority would look like?” she was asked by a Fox News reporter.
“I really haven’t dug into this exactly,” Psaki responded, adding nonetheless that “we, of course, support this effort.”
“We know that there has been a range of disinfo out there about a range of topics, I mean, including COVID, for example, and also elections and eligibility.”
