For all of the talk the media does about threats to democracy the truth is that the biggest threat may come from them.

President Donald Trump took one such media conglomerate to task on his Truth Social account on Saturday morning where he put MSNBC in his sights.

“MSNBC, COMMONLY KNOWN AS MSDNC, IS A THREAT TO OUR DEMOCRACY. SUCH LYING AND MISREPRESENTATION. BAD PEOPLE AT THE TOP!” the president said.

He also had some mild criticism for Elon Musk who is unofficially the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“ELON IS DOING A GREAT JOB, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM GET MORE AGGRESSIVE. REMEMBER, WE HAVE A COUNTRY TO SAVE, BUT ULTIMATELY, TO MAKE GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE. MAGA!” he said.

But he still has high praise for Musk as, just days ago, Trump bragged about the tens of billions of dollars that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has already saved the American taxpayers and vowed that they are “just getting started.”

“In less than a single month, the Department of Government Efficiency has already saved over 55 — this is just a short period of time — $55 billion, and we’re just getting started,” he said during an evening appearance at the FII Priority Summit.

“We will rapidly grow our economy by dramatically shrinking the federal government,” the president said.

He even spoke about Americans getting checks from the money that DOGE is saving the federal government.

“There’s even under consideration a new concept where we give 20% of the DOGE savings to American citizens and 20% goes to paying debt because the numbers are incredible, Elon,” he said.

The president also talked about the tax cuts he wants for the American people and endorsed the House budget plan that includes the tax cuts now, in contrast to the Senate Republican’s plan that kicks the tax cuts to the fall.

“I’ll be working with the Republican Congress to pass the largest tax cuts in American history,” Trump added.

“We’re going to dramatically cut taxes for families and for workers and for companies, including no tax on tips, and hopefully no tax on Social Security, and no tax on overtime,” he said, harkening back to his campaign promises.
