Polls indicate that Donald Trump received a significant boost in support among Jewish voters in New York on Tuesday, showing a 50% increase compared to the previous presidential election. Approximately 45% of Jewish voters in the state cast their ballots for Trump in 2024, up from 30% in 2020, according to Fox News exit polls.

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris secured 55% of New York’s Jewish vote, a substantial drop from the 69% that President Biden garnered in 2020.

Maury Litwack from the Teach Coalition, who has been tracking Jewish voter behavior in New York House races and swing states, expressed pride in Jewish turnout nationwide. “We are getting early reports in and huge groundbreaking numbers,” he wrote on X.

Litwack noted that Jewish voters have increasingly shifted their support to Republicans, citing dissatisfaction with the Democratic Party’s response to rising antisemitism, especially on college campuses amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. “I can point to numerous examples of candidates taking terrible positions on antisemitism or staying silent on antisemitism that have cost them their races this cycle,” he stated.

This trend has already impacted Democratic primary elections, with “Squad” Rep. Jamaal Bowman losing his seat in New York’s 16th Congressional District and Rep. Cori Bush facing defeat in Missouri.

Additionally, the Republican Jewish Coalition has spent a record-breaking $15 million this election cycle in support of Trump, arguing that Harris aligns with progressive values over the concerns of Jewish voters.
