Trump’s win in New Hampshire dealt another blow to his last major rival, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Despite New Hampshire being considered fertile ground for Haley, with its influential independent voters, Trump dominated for the second consecutive week in critical early voting states.

When asked about the possibility of Haley suspending her campaign, Trump suggested she should to avoid wasting resources. Trump, joined by former opponents who endorsed him at a rally, asserted the party’s unity, noting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s recent endorsement. He remarked, “The party is very united except for her,” referring to Haley.

Haley, in her post-race speech, highlighted her close-to-half vote share in New Hampshire and emphasized that the race is “far from over.” She rejected the notion that New Hampshire was the end, stating, “New Hampshire is the first in the nation, not the last.” Looking ahead to South Carolina’s primary on Feb. 24, Haley remains committed to continuing her campaign.

“Now you’ve all heard the chatter among the political class. They’re falling all over themselves saying this race is over. Well, I have news for all of them: New Hampshire is first in the nation. It is not last in the nation. This race is far from over,” she said.
