President-elect Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan has issued a dire warning to blue states who want to stand in the way of mass deportations.

“I’ve been clear on that. They [blue state governors] cannot assist, shame on them, because President Trump and myself have been very clear. We’re going to concentrate on public safety threats and national security threats right out of the gate. That’s our priority. We’re going to go for the worst first. And I find it hard to believe any elected official doesn’t want public safety threat out of their communities,” he said on Newsmax TV’s “Finnerty.”

“I would think that’s your number one responsibility is protecting the communities. But they don’t want help. That’s fine. Just stay out of the way and we will do it. They can’t cross the line of actively impeding us, preventing them from doing their job. They can’t knowingly harbor or conceal an illegal alien because that is also a felony. So don’t cross the line. You can sit back and les us do the job it’s going to be less efficient, it will be more dangerous without their assistance, but we’re going to do the job regardless,” he said.

In November, Homan issued a warning that he has no issue arresting politicians if they break the law after Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said last week that he would not cooperate with the administration on deporting illegal immigrants who are not criminals.

“All he has to do is look at Arizona vs. U.S. and you will see he’s breaking the law. But look, me and the Denver mayor we agree on one thing. He’s willing to go to jail. I’m willing to put him in jail. There’s a statute, Title 8, United States Code 1324 – AAA. And what it says is it’s a felony if you knowingly harbor and conceal illegal aliens from immigration authorities. It is also a felony to impede a federal law enforcement officer,” Homan told Fox News host Sean Hannity when asked about what the Denver mayor said.

“So if you don’t want to help, that’s fine. He can get the hell out of the way, but we’re going to go do the job. President Trump has a mandate from the American people. We’ve got to secure this country and save American lives,” he said.

“I find it shocking that any mayor of a city would say — President Trump’s been clear. We want to concentrate on public safety threats and national security threats. I find it hard to believe that any mayor or governor would say they don’t want public safety threats removed from their neighborhoods,” Homan added.

“I mean, I don’t know what the hell is going on in Denver, but we’re going to go and we’re going to fix it. If you don’t want to fix it, if he doesn’t want to protect his communities, President Trump and ICE will,” he said.
