Tim Walz Makes Shocking Announcement To Democrat Party

Failed Democrat vice presidential candidate and  Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz , he endorsed anti-gun activist David Hogg to be the Democratic National Committee vice chair.

“David Hogg represents exactly the kind of bold, dynamic, and courageous leadership the Democratic Party needs right now,” the Minnesota governor said.

“After campaigning with David throughout the country, I know firsthand his unique ability to connect with the American people and to speak to the strengths of our party,” Walz said.

“This is exactly what we need right now: experienced, thoughtful, and energized leadership that meets people where they are and takes bold action to win. I couldn’t be happier to throw my support behind him and his vision for the party, and I look forward to working with him every step of the way,” he said.

Hogg acknowledged the endorsement. And gave praise to Walz.

“Ever since the shooting at my high school, he’s been a champion for the gun violence prevention movement––exemplifying leadership that listens, takes action, and works tirelessly to better our lives,” the 24-year-old said.

“Beyond his commitment to public service, Governor Walz is a good human being, plain and simple. He’s a good, decent man, and the Democratic Party is fortunate to have him in its ranks,” he said.

The day before his endorsement of Hogg Gov. Walz endorsed Minnesota Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin for Democratic National Committee chair.

“In Minnesota, Ken has built a national model for how to elect Democrats in a competitive state,” the governor said. “I have seen Ken’s leadership in action, and it’s exactly what we need from our next D.N.C. chair.”

In December, after his defeat to President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance, Walz gave a glimpse into his post-election reflections during a news conference at the Minnesota State Capitol, KSTP.com reported.

“No regrets,” he said in response to a reporter’s question. “I regret few things in life other than I didn’t get a dog sooner. That’s my biggest regret. But no, I’m proud to have been part of that [campaign]. I think we put a message out that 75 million liked, but not quite enough.”
