Russell Brand Rips Green Energy Movement, Calls It Scam To Usher In 'Great Reset'

Actor and comedian Russell Brand used his popular podcast as a platform this week to rail against the so-called ‘green energy’ movement, accusing those who support it of attempting to bankrupt farmers, inflict economic harm, and usher in a “great reset” that is being pushed by Western elites.

In laying out his case, Brand mentioned recent major purchases of American farmland by billionaire Bill Gates as well as Communist China, while also addressing recent protests by Dutch farmers against climate laws that are threatening their livelihoods, BizPac Review reported. A major issue with the Dutch farmers is that they are unable to obtain enough fertilizer necessary to grow sufficient crops because the substance has been deemed climate ‘harmful.’

“This is connected to the land grab of Bill Gates. This is connected to corruption of companies like Monsanto. This whole fertilizer situation is a scam. They present it as a green ideology,” Brand said.

“‘Oh, we can’t keep using these fertilizers,’ and anyone who lives in the rural area will know that when those fertilizers get used, you think, ‘Oh God, this is a bit dodgy.’ But the reason that farmers are using those fertilizers is ’cause it’s necessary economically because of the pressure they’re under financially because of — often because of government-enforced imperatives,” he noted further.

“The objective isn’t to get the farmers to behave in an organic, responsible ecologically site manner, no, far from it. It’s in order to bankrupt the farmers so that their land can be grabbed,” he said, noting that buyers like Gates and the Chinese are buying farmland while global financial giant Blackrock is snapping up middle-class houses that they then rent, thereby depriving Americans of a major asset, owning their own home.

“This shows you how ‘The Great Reset’ operates,” Brand continued. The Great Reset is a globalist idea being pushed by World Economic Forum executive chairman Klaus Schwab that involves a new world order with stakeholder capitalism. Hint… it’s not capitalism and far more resembles communism with a few very wealthy individuals at the top of the pile and the masses serving them from below.

“It uses a green agenda. And just so you know, I agree with the green agenda. I think that the planet should be treated with love and respect that we should see ourselves as in harmony with it,” he added.

“But when regulations are passed down from a globalist level and it affects the lives of ordinary farmers, it is the duty of all of us to support them, to stand in solidarity, to give them time, to make those transitions, to say to the farming and agricultural community, we’ll support you by buying your products,” he explained.

Brand isn’t the only one pushing the ‘Great Reset’ theory.

In the immediate aftermath of the 2020 election, Fox News host Tucker Carlson began a program discussing how he believed that the Western elite were using the COVID-19 pandemic to usher in massive societal changes.

During his monologue, he referenced the words of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who said in a speech at the time:

This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset. This is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality and climate change.

Carlson added:

“This is our chance,” says Justin Trudeau. Not our chance to save you from a virus with a 99% survival rate. This is our chance to impose unprecedented social controls on the population in order to bypass democracy and change everything to conform with their weird academic theories that have never been tested in the real world and, by the way, don’t actually make sense.

“This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset.” Keep in mind, that’s not from QAnon, that is a head of state talking and he’s not alone. Klaus Schwab, the founder of the World Economic Forum, has written a book called “COVID-19: The Great Reset.” The book isn’t really about science or medicine. Instead, it describes,  “what changes will be needed to create a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable world going forward.”

What changes is Schwab talking about? We don’t know. What we’re certain of is that you’re going to pay for them and the people in charge will benefit from them.
