OSU students admit to throwing away absentee ballots for Trump

The 2020 presidential election has been made unique by the coronavirus pandemic that has ravaged the United States – and the world.

And with the mounting fear of catching the virus, many voters are resorting to mail-in-ballots to avoid overcrowded polling stations and close-proximity lines.

President Trump has made his stance on the subject of mail-in-voting very clear.

It can only end in one way: fraud.

Once the ballot leaves the voter’s hand, the possibilities are endless.

And at Ohio State University, it’s happening.

Students at OSU are writing in to their online student newspaper, the Student Section, saying that they enjoy throwing away Trump voters’ absentee ballots.

“I love working at a residence hall and throwing away absentee ballots that vote for Trump,” said Brian W.

The section of the paper titled the “Salty Section” is just one of many questionable section titles, including “Rate and Berate,” where students have the chance to verbally destroy their professors.

Throwing away another person’s ballot without them knowing is point-blank illegal. There is no argument against that.

The student involved in this fraudulent activity should be stripped of their leadership position within the residence hall, and appropriate action should be taken by the university, as well as the police and FBI.

Everyone, regardless of political affiliation, deserves to exercise their right to vote in the election.

And anyone regardless of their reasoning, who actively tries to silence the voices of others deserves to be prosecuted accordingly.
