Legal Expert Turley Says Biden Business Dealings Becoming 'One of the Greatest Corruption Scandals' In History

A noted legal and constitutional expert said on Monday that he believes the past ‘business’ dealings involving President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden are shaping up to be “one of the greatest corruption scandals” ever.

Georgetown Law School Prof. Jonathan Turley joined Fox News host Neil Cavuto to discuss testimony from former Hunter associate Devon Archer on then-Vice President Biden’s involvement in his son’s business dealings, warning this could blow up into the worst political scandal in the country’s history.

“I think that it’s the assumption is that he knew exactly what these meetings were about… it just strains credulity that he flies to China with his son and doesn’t ask once, by the way, where are you going to go in China?” Turley told Cavuto. “You know, what are you doing business here that he makes all these calls to?

“These folks have dinners with foreign characters, and he doesn’t say, who were those guys? Why were you meeting? It’s just not very believable,” the professor continued. “But I think that we also have other evidence that they shared accounts.

“There are some emails referring to a 10% cut going to the president. It was called ‘the big guy.’ They were accounts of offices that would be paid for the president and the first lady. Hunter Biden himself complains about taking money to pay his father’s bills,” Turley went on, citing previous reports.

“You know, there was an exchange where Hunter Biden said, we’re the best at this effectively. And they are. And you can see that in how that influence paid-only scheme was developed. No money has to go directly to the president,” Turley added.

“There’s lots of ways to benefit the Biden family, but the one thing that we can’t do is just walk away. We have to find out the full story here. I think this is shaping up to be one of the greatest corruption scandals in the history of Washington, and that is saying a lot,” he said.

On Monday, two GOP lawmakers revealed that Archer disclosed that Hunter occasionally placed then-Vice President Joe Biden on speakerphone during meetings with business partners.

Archer provided testimony to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee in a closed-door meeting. The committee is conducting an investigation into Hunter Biden and exploring any potential involvement his father, Joe Biden, may have had in his foreign business ventures.

According to one source reported by Fox News, Archer stated that Biden was put on the phone to “sell the brand.” These phone calls involved a dinner in Paris with a French energy company and another in China with Jonathan Li of BHR.

Archer asserted that the value of adding Hunter Biden to Burisma’s board was primarily due to “the brand,” with the argument being that then-Vice President Joe Biden brought the most value in that regard. Archer further stated that Burisma would have faced significant difficulties if it were not for the influence and association brought by “the brand” associated with the Biden name, Fox News added.
