Leaked Emails Show NYC Officials Admitting Their COVID Testing Distribution Scheme Is Racist

As much as the left screams about ‘racism’ on the right, the fact is, they are by far the biggest practitioners of bigotry and supporters of outright racist policies, especially as they pertain to whites.

The most recent case in point: Leaked emails prove that a New York City COVID-19 testing scheme is as anti-white as it gets, which, truth be told, makes it as unconstitutional as it gets, the New York Post reported.

The outlet noted that health officials in the Big Apple “have been using race to help decide how to allocate precious coronavirus testing resources,” according to leaked emails.

“Non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity should be considered a risk factor as longstanding systemic health and social inequities have contributed to an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19,” said a memo from the NYC Health Department that was initially leaked to DailyMail.com, which added:

The guidance comes as New York State set a one-day record of 76,555 for positive COVID tests, fueled by the Omicron variant, with more than 41,000 of those cases coming from New York City, according to data compiled by the health department.

However, the agency’s website does not detail the races of those infected.

Data from New York City’s official site shows the vaccination rate of white people at 63 percent, compared with 75 percent for Latinos, 58 percent for black residents and an astronomical 97 percent for Asians.

The state’s missive, titled ‘COVID-19 Oral Antiviral Treatments Authorized and Severe Shortage of Oral Antiviral and Monoclonal Antibody Treatment Products,’  sets out a list of eligibility requirements for two oral antiviral treatments that had been touted as ‘available and lifesaving’ by the organization in an October press release.

In this week’s notice, however, department officials announced that the state was facing severe shortages in the availability of the two antiviral therapies, and subsequently listed a series of eligibility factors – such as age, weight, and mildness of symptoms – that practitioners are to take into account when administering the treatments.

The shortages have pushed New York’s Health officials to give members of ethnic group precedence when divvying out the sought-after drugs, said to be more effective at combating the latest mutation of the ever-present coronavirus, which has seen cases in New York City – as well as New York State  – soar to record highs in recent weeks.

City Councilman Joe Borelli’s office said in a conversation with reps for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene that his constituents on Staten Island’s South Shore were having difficulty getting tested at the city’s testing facilities.

“Our office has been receiving calls regarding the mobile NYC H+H testing sites such as Wolfes Pond Park. It appears many are waiting with delays, and are being turned away after waiting for hours,” Borelli staffer Briana Nasti noted in a Dec. 22 email.

In a same-day response, the agency said that neighborhoods identified by the city’s Taskforce on Racial Inclusion & Equity would be prioritized.

“The task force, created by the de Blasio administration in 2020, identified 31 underserved neighborhoods to receive ‘priority’ attention from the city,” the New York Post reported.

“The task force said nabes were picked based a DOHMH’s analysis of ‘health status, living conditions, social inequities, occupation, and COVID-19 Wave 1 impact’ — though the methodology has never been released,” the outlet continued.

Staten Island’s South Shore is comprised of mostly white, middle-class residents, but the region had one of the highest COVID-19 rates in all of New York City last month. However, it was not designated a priority neighborhood, The Post added.

“I think we are clearly not on their racial and ethnic rubric priority list,” Borelli told outlet. “There was no problem pointing fingers at the South Shore of Staten Island when it came to sending enforcement goons.”

That was a reference to small business owners on the island who reported having been targeted for very strict enforcement of vaccine passport rules and mask mandates.

It’s been obvious for some time that Democrats approve of racism as long as it’s the ‘right kind,’ just like it’s been since the days when the party created and dominated the KKK and supported school segregation.
