Some Democrats have apparently not gotten the message from the presidential election that saw President Donald Trump take back the White House and Republicans take back the United States Senate and keep the House.

It was a sweeping referendum that showed Democrat woke policies have been resoundingly dismissed by the voters.

But for two Pennsylvania Democrats that message was not loud enough because they just proposed eliminating gender from birth certificates, a practice they called “antiquated,” Breitbart News reported.

“As the times change, so does the need to assess our antiquated practices and procedures. Precedent already exists for amending what is required on birth certificate documents. For example, birth certificates used to include the race of an individual’s parents, which had historically been used as a part of systemic discrimination,” State Reps. Benjamin Sanchez and Joe Webster said in a House co-sponsorship memorandum on January 24.

“Bureaucratic roadblocks make the process of amending government documents complicated as people face discrimination and multiple barriers when changing categories like their sex. Our legislation would fix this issue by removing that bureaucratic roadblock. As recommended by the American Medical Association (AMA), removing sex designations on birth certificates will prevent many problems individuals face by having a different gender identity on this foundational document. Sex will still be reported on the U.S. Standard Certificate of Live Birth system, which is used for medical and statistical data collection, therefore its place on a birth certificate is redundant and unnecessary,” the memorandum said.

The AMA, which they based their resolution on, is a left wing group that crafted a resolution in 2021 which called for the terms “male” and “female” to be removed from birth certificates.

They said that sex should be noted for statistics but not added to the birth certificate because it could hamper those who want to change their gender, a medical impossibility, later in life.
