'Game OVER!' Legal Analyst Believes Fani Willis' Case Against Trump Is Dead After Courtroom Revelation

Legal analyst Caroline Polisi unequivocally stated on Thursday that new testimony contradicting Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s assertions about her association with a colleague spelled “game over for her.”

Polisi, a frequent commentator on CNN and MSNBC, pulled no punches in discussing the challenging day for the Fulton County DA, stating that a witness claiming the relationship began much sooner than Willis claimed in sworn testimony was likely to destroy her case against former President Donald Trump.

“Don’t let the legalese fool you,” she opened. “This is epic. This is monumental. If things are going in the direction we think, Fani Willis lied to the court, and it’s game over for her. She will be disqualified. If they had a relationship before when they represented the truth to the court, it’s a huge deal. I can’t overstate.”

Later, in a statement to Mediaite, she said: “Willis will be disqualified, which means her entire office is disqualified, which means the case will have to be re-assigned and languish with the PAC of Georgia, effectively killing the case. Her credibility is completely shot.”

It’s not certain yet what will come of the case.

However, the apparent revelation that Willis provided false testimony under oath regarding the timeline of her relationship with her deputy, Nathan Wade, raises serious questions about her tenure as the lead attorney on the case, suggesting that it may be coming to an end.

The allegations of an improper relationship surfaced in January.

In a 122-page filing submitted by Trump co-defendant Michael Roman’s attorneys, they claimed they had a witness whose testimony contradicted the denials made by Willis concerning the timing of her relationship with Wade. She said their relationship began after Willis appointed him as a special prosecutor in the investigation regarding Trump’s endeavors to contest the 2020 election results in Georgia, but the witness refuted that claim, reportedly.

In their filing, Roman’s attorneys named a friend of Wade who could corroborate that the relationship began before Willis assumed the role of the district attorney.
