WATCH: Florida Teacher Sounds Off Because He Can't Share His Gay Experiences With Kindergartners

Once upon a time, Democrats and their voters were as willing to protect young children from being exposed to sexual behaviors of any kind, but today’s Democratic Party is not the party of our grandparents and great-grandparents.

No, today the Democratic Party has been essentially taken over by hard-left Marxists who seem intent on destroying our traditions and our culture because they see that as necessary before they can replace it fully with a counterculture sans behavior limits and mores of any kind.

And that means even our youngest citizens are no longer immune from being exposed to all forms of sexual behaviors.

That much was apparent this week when a gay male kindergarten teacher in Florida, while being critical of the state’s newly-passed “Parental Rights in Education Act,” expressed his angst over no longer being permitted to share ‘experiences’ he and his partner have with his young charges.

“It truly makes me feel like I am not trusted as a professional. I know my kindergarten standards through and through, and nowhere in our curriculum does it have anything about teaching sexual orientation or sexual identity,” Cory Bernaert said while speaking with the insanely far-left MSNBC. “I am afraid for my colleagues, myself, and my students.”

He went on to claim that state officials ought to be encouraging educators like him to have such discussions with students, claiming that have questions about who his partner is.

“It scares me that I am not going to be able to have these conversations with my children … I don’t want to have to hide that my partner and I went paddleboarding this weekend,” the teacher said.

Okay, the law passed by majority Republicans wasn’t about preventing talks about “paddleboarding” — it was aimed at preventing adults from discussing sexually suggestive concepts with human beings who are simply not old enough to process and understand them. The law also aims to prevent teachers from being LGBTQ activists and informing young minds about how they should view such sexual behaviors and attitudes, i.e., filling their heads with propaganda (because these diabolical people know how impressionable children are, so they want to their viewpoints across first because those will likely stay with kids longer).

Plus, what is the deal with all of this pushback in the first place? Today’s teachers appear to have been indoctrinated themselves while in college to perceive their role as ‘shaping future generations’ to become dutiful leftists instead of teaching them to basics of being able to function in a first-world society: The concepts of math, English, language arts, social studies, history, etc. Parents, by comparison, have historically been tasked with helping shape and inform their kids’ viewpoints and attitudes about life — but at the appropriate age (which, again, is decided by the parent, not a public school teacher who seems to believe his students belong to him).

Republicans in Florida, including Gov. Ron DeSantis, understand all of this, which is why they passed the law.

“In Florida, we not only know that parents have a right to be involved, we insist that parents have a right to be involved,” DeSantis said at a press conference at the Classical Preparatory School in Spring Hill, Fla., earlier this week.

“They support injecting woke gender ideology into second-grade classrooms. … And so what they’re doing with these slogans and these narratives is they are trying to camouflage their true intentions,” he added.

The left’s assault on our culture is finally getting substantial pushback, in the form of legislation and at the ballot box. It’s not a moment too soon.
