Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn believes that the Democrat Party is headed for disaster after seeing the most recent poll numbers.

“I’ve never seen anything like this in over 40 years of polling. The Democratic Party ratings have collapsed from a 47% favorable down to 29, 27 in some of these polls, and that’s an incredible loss of moderate, working-class voters,” he said during an appearance on the Fox News show “Hannity.”

He said that a massive issue faced by the Party is that the leading voices are ultra progressives like Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“Those [are the] kinds of voters that the Democratic Party needs to win elections, and it’s being shrunk to a base of left-wing advocates like Bernie Sanders and AOC who were touring the country carrying the Democratic banner. That’s not helping,” he said.

And he was not the only one to question the strategy of having Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez taking the lead for Democrats

Former Democrat megadonor John Morgan, spoke to NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo and criticized the decision to have the two representing the Party as they embark on their “Fight Oligarchy” tour.

“It’s a mistake … I agree with (longtime Democratic strategist James) Carville,” he said to Cuomo.

“Look, the new (DNC) says this to me: They learned nothing from the last election. What they need to do, Chris, is they need to do nothing,” he contended. “They need to let the dumpster fire rage. Let everybody suffer, fight back, push back, be against it, but at the end of the day, Carville is right. Let the dumpster burn, get a lawn chair, get some popcorn, watch it. That will do more.”

“See, AOC and Bernie (galvanize) MAGA because MAGA hates them, and the thing MAGA loves the most other than what they love, they love watching them twisting and turning,” the former megadonor said.

“They liked to tear the wing off the fly and watch the flower walk around in a circle on the table. They enjoy that as much as they enjoy destroying the Department of Education,” he said.
