Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk issued a dire warning about China’s belief in its manifest destiny to be the world’s only superpower with other nations serving it.

He made the warning when he spoke to Fox News host Jesse Watters this week.

“I visit Forgotten America as well. In fact, we did a whole tour through the Midwest. And as we went to Purdue or Illinois State University, we’d go by these towns, 10,000 to 15,000 people, that used to be 50,000 or 60,000 people, the great industrial towns of the American Midwest, that we decided to close, and then we sent all of the capital overseas to China so that they could industrialize, so then we become a vassal state at their own beckoning, that we are subservient to the Chinese Communist Party. China fights dirty,” he said.

“This weekend, they announced, this last weekend, they said they’re suspending all the importation of rare-earth minerals into America. Just so everyone understands, that’s where fighter jets are necessary for rare-earth minerals, for radar, for so many components in America, for electric vehicles, for iPhones,” Kirk said.

“China says no more. That proves Trump’s point. That proves that if we are not able to extract and mine our own rare-earth minerals, and we need them from the Chinese Communist Party, we are nothing more than a glorified vassal state,” he said.

“And that’s exactly what China wants to create. They want to create lots of little colonies all around the world through the Belt and Road Initiative. In Mandarin, China literally means middle empire,” Kirk said.

“They look at themselves as the pinnacle on the entire world where every other country will serve under their flag. What President Trump is doing is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rebalance this, and as you beautifully said, we created China. It was a series of decisions over the last 20 years that made them wealthy and made them powerful, and now we need to have the courage, which President Trump has, to now say we’re gonna be the world’s superpower, not the Chinese Communist Party,” he said.
