Biden Admin Gives Women's Award To Biological Man

As part of International Women’s Day celebrations, a trans-identified male named Alba Rueda was recognized with an International Women of Courage award during the 17th annual Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Award Ceremony.

Rueda, of Argentina, was introduced by the Biden admin’s event as a “transgender woman” who faced various forms of discrimination and violence, The Post Millennial reports.

The State Department’s website describes her as, “Argentina’s current Special Envoy for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, was the first Argentine Undersecretary for Diversity Policies in the newly created Ministry of Women, Gender, and Diversity.

“Ms. Rueda was the driving force behind Argentina’s executive order on the transgender labor quota in the public sector which was converted into the Transgender Labor Quota Act,” the site explains.

Rueda was presented with the award by First Lady Jill Biden, along with Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Rueda was instrumental in passing Argentina’s executive order on the transgender labor quota in the public sector, which became the Transgender Labor Quota Act. Rueda also campaigned to expand the National Women’s Conference to include diverse and racialized identities.

The state department’s website details the other awardees, including biological women such as Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi of Malaysia and Brigadier General Bolor Ganbold of Mongolia.

All recipients of the award will participate in International Visitor Leadership Programs exchanges and attend a dinner hosted by American Women for International Understanding.

The Biden administration has made it part of its mission to make trans acceptance part of life for all Americans, and has been explicitly clear in its mission to normalize the idea that children can be trans, and that trans kids are under attack by malicious right wing forces.
