Bergman criticized Tlaib for her response to the recent attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists, which resulted in over 1,200 Israeli deaths and thousands of injuries.
In a statement, Bergman, a 40-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, stated that Tlaib’s actions were inappropriate, as she seemed to blame Israel for the attacks by Hamas.
He highlighted that there is no moral equivalence between Israel’s defense and Hamas’s attacks on Israeli civilians.
“As Hamas terrorists beheaded infants, paraded dead Jewish teenagers through town, and attacked innocent concert-goers in the most deadly day for Jews since the Holocaust, Rep. Rashida Tlaib chose to place the blame solely on Israel and the Jewish people,” Bergman told Fox News in a statement.
“There is no moral equivalence between Israel defending itself and Hamas attacking innocent Israeli civilians. Tlaibβs long history of anti-Semitic tropes and blatant anti-Jewish propaganda is both disturbing and evil β and should have no place in the halls of Congress,” he added.

Bergman also referenced Tlaib’s alleged history of using anti-Semitic tropes and anti-Jewish propaganda and argued that this behavior has no place in Congress.
Bergman’s resolution aims to censure Tlaib and reaffirm the House’s support for Israel while rejecting the notion that Israel is an “apartheid” state. Tlaib has faced criticism for flying a Palestinian flag outside her Capitol Hill office, a flag that has been present since at least January.
Tlaib’s office has not yet responded to these allegations.
