Biden Issues Weak Warning to Iran After Country Denies Involvement in Israeli Terror Attacks: "Be Careful"

President Biden issued a soft warning to Iran during a meeting with Jewish leaders at the White House following the recent attacks by Hamas on Israel.

In his remarks, Biden mentioned that the U.S. is providing military assistance to the Israeli Defense Force, including ammunition and interceptors for the Iron Dome system.

He made no mention, however, to the $6 billion that his administration recently handed over to the Islamic regime, which GOP observers have pointed to as a potential cause of the violent attacks witnessed in Israel over the weekend. The Biden administration has claimed that the money remains untouched and will potentially be frozen to prevent access to the funds.

“You know, I spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu I don’t know how many times, but again this morning, and already we’re surging additional military assistance to the Israeli Defense Force, including ammunition, interceptors to replenish the Iron Dome, and we’ve moved the U.S. carrier fleet to the Eastern Mediterranean, and we’re sending more fighter jets there to that region, and made it clear — made it clear to the Iranians: Be careful,” Biden said.

During the meeting, Biden also stated, “we’ve moved the U.S. carrier fleet to the Eastern Mediterranean, and we’re sending more fighter jets there to that region, and made it clear to the Iranians: Be careful.”

National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby reiterated the administration’s position that there was no specific evidence of Iran’s involvement in the Hamas attacks. However, he left open the possibility that this assessment could change as intelligence continues to be assessed.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Iranian security officials approved Hamas’ plan to attack Israel during a meeting in Beirut on Oct. 2, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps collaborating with Hamas on attack plans since August. A European official working as an adviser to the Syrian government corroborated these claims.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made televised remarks in which he expressed support for the attack but denied Iranian involvement. Biden’s administration has faced criticism for unfreezing $6 billion in Iranian assets after the attack.
