Fauci Finally Admits Covid Lab Leak Is "Not a Conspiracy Theory"

Former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Anthony Fauci, in a Congressional hearing, finally acknowledged the credibility of the lab leak theory regarding the origin of Covid-19.

Fauci said that the idea of the virus being designed in a lab and then escaping was not a conspiracy theory, challenging previous suppression of the lab leak hypothesis, reports the Daily Mail.

During the hearing, Fauci also admitted that guidelines recommending a six-foot distance lacked scientific backing and suggested that vaccine mandates may have discouraged people from getting vaccinated.

Despite these admissions, Fauci remained unconvinced about the negative impact of school closures on children’s education, despite the overwhelming evidence. He asserted that the issue of learning loss was still open for discussion, prompting criticism from some lawmakers who argued that parents perceived a significant negative impact on their children’s development.

Fauci’s stance on school closures contradicted his previous claims, as footage revealed his earlier support for such measures.

Critics accused Fauci of attempting to evade responsibility during the hearing, noting his tendency to forget or downplay past decisions. Rep. Michael Cloud highlighted the federal government’s influence on school district decisions, emphasizing the potential legal consequences if districts did not follow federal guidance.

Statistics from the US Department of Education in September 2022 indicated a decline in reading abilities among nine-year-olds during Covid-19 lockdowns, reaching a 30-year low. Math scores also experienced a significant drop for the first time in 50 years of tracking. Fauci’s controversial tenure as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases was further scrutinized, with a 2018 study revealing experiments with coronaviruses and bats conducted by Fauci’s NIH over a year before the global Covid-19 outbreak at the agency’s Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Montana.
