The New York City tap dancing troupe, Dorrance Dance, featured in a Christmas video by First Lady Jill Biden, is facing backlash for supporting far-left groups that advocate for prison abolition and defunding the police.
Dorrance Dance’s website encourages visitors to engage in “prison abolition” work and directs them to join far-left organizations like Black Lives Matter and Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ). These associations promote supposed activism against systemic racism and police funding.
