Trump Campaign Shows Proof of Democrats' Deadly Rhetoric After Second Assassination Attempt

The Donald Trump campaign released a comprehensive list of statements made by Democratic politicians, which they claim “inspired another attempt on President Trump’s life.”

This list was made public on Monday, after a second assassination attempt on Trump occurred at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday.

The compilation includes 39 statements from prominent Democrats, such as Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, with links to each quote. These statements describe Trump as “a threat to our democracy and fundamental freedoms” and even call him an “existential threat.”

One of Biden’s quotes reads, “It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.” The list also highlights a comment from Harris during a 2018 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, where she joked about killing Trump. When asked if she’d want to be stuck in an elevator with Trump or other Republicans, Harris responded, “Does one of us have to come out alive?” followed by hysterical laughter.

Another quote from Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz reads, “Are [Republicans] a threat to democracy? Yes. … Are they going to put people’s lives in danger? Yes.”

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is also featured on the list, with a statement in which she said, “[Trump] is a threat to our democracy of the kind that we have not seen.”

Sunday’s incident marks the second assassination attempt on Trump within the last two months. In July, would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks shot at Trump, grazing his ear and narrowly missing a fatal strike on the GOP nominee.
