Soros Money Funds 'Abolition School' Aiming to Eradicate Police, Prisons

The Community Resource Hub for Safety and Accountability, a dark money group associated with George and Alex Soros’s nonprofit network, is collaborating with far left organizations to support the W.E.B Du Bois Movement School for Abolition & Reconstruction in Philadelphia.

The school is focused on training far-left activists in efforts to eliminate police and prisons, citing the alleged need to address a capitalist society rooted in historical injustices.

The “Abolition School” seeks to equip activists with the knowledge and skills to deconstruct what they view as oppressive institutions contributing to societal problems.

Participants, described as aspiring revolutionaries and abolitionists, engage in intensive conversations about abolition and reconstruction while exploring strategies for change, Fox News Digital reports.

Professional activists from groups like the Community Resource Hub participate in the school to share their experiences and demonstrate how theory translates into practical action.

The Community Resource Hub serves as a resource center for progressive activists working on police reform, including defunding and abolishing law enforcement. It operates under the New Venture Fund, a project of the Soros network, and offers research, data, reports, model policies, toolkits, and technical assistance to campaigns. The hub is closely associated with defundpolice.org, which advocates for divesting from police institutions and reallocating funds to community-based safety initiatives.

The Foundation to Promote Open Society, a Soros-affiliated nonprofit, donated $5.25 million to the New Venture Fund for the Community Resource Hub between 2019 and 2021. George Soros has historically funded various initiatives aimed at criminal justice reform and racial equality.

The “Abolition School” aligns with broader efforts by activists and organizations seeking to reform or eliminate law enforcement and prison systems. The initiative reflects ongoing debates about the role of police and prisons in society and the desire for fundamental change.

Both the Community Resource Hub and the W.E.B Du Bois Movement School for Abolition & Reconstruction declined to provide comments or respond to inquiries about their initiatives. The Open Society Foundations, associated with George Soros, did not comment on additional funding for the Community Resource Hub.
