George Soros Funding Mysterious PAC Trying to Turn Texas Blue

Leftist superdonor George Soros is funneling hundreds of thousands in financial support to a mysterious Texas entity called the Texas Majority PAC, as revealed by Federal Election Commission filings.

The PAC, which registered in December 2022, received $750,000 from Soros’s Democracy PAC II during the first half of the year. This funding accounted for almost the exact amount of money raised by the Texas Majority PAC during that time, indicating Soros’s substantial influence on the group.

Despite operating in the shadows, the Texas Majority PAC has posted job openings on the progressive job site Gain Power, offering a glimpse into its operations. It aims to build left-wing infrastructure in Texas and weaken Republican strongholds, with a focus on voter engagement and turnout programs. However, the specifics of its functioning and partnerships remain unclear.

“Texas Majority PAC is a research and development institution dedicated to flipping Texas blue by building year-round Democratic infrastructure in the key regions of Texas,” the postings say, according to Fox. “TMP invests in partners running voter engagement and turnout programs in an effort to bring their work to the scale required to win statewide office in Texas.”

The PAC’s financial report for the first half of the year shows that it spent $600,000, allocating funds to left-wing consultants, travel, subscription services, and other operational expenses. Moreover, it has an affiliated nonprofit arm called Texas Majority, which received $11,600 in charitable contributions from the PAC.

Neither the Texas Majority PAC nor Soros’s spokesperson responded to inquiries regarding the group’s funding and its decision to remain secretive. With the current job postings, it is suggested that the Texas Majority PAC may be preparing to launch more publicly with an expanded staff.
