Whoopi Goldberg Appears to Blame Trump For Attempts On His Life

Another attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump has brought a shrug from the media and some of the most insane hot takes.

The day after the most recent assassination attempt, “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg had the nerve to say that the violent rhetoric is only coming from conservatives, even as no Democrats have been attacked.

“And also, let’s stop this thing. You know, let’s stop this both sides stuff,” the actress said. “Because it’s not correct. It is not both sides, it is one clear side, and you can point to many, many reports. You can point to all kinds of stuff that’s been reported. You guys have to pull it back. This is not us or them, this is you got to stop doing what you’re doing, J.D. [Vance] and what you’re doing, Mr. [Trump], because you are not helping the situation.”

And sadly, she was not the only person to blame the former president for his own assassination attempts.

“Today’s apparent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail. Mr. Trump, his running mate JD Vance, continue to make baseless claims about Haitian immigrants in Ohio. This weekend, there were new bomb threats in that town,” NBC News anchor Lester Holt shamelessly said hours after the thwarted attack.

MSNBC anchor Alex Witt said that he wondered if Trump, who has been the victim two times of assassination attempts, and his campaign would lower the temperature of the rhetoric.

“Do you expect there to be calls from within the Trump campaign to do that? Because he’s going to reach out to his supporters and say let’s take this down,” said Witt. “We do not know the source of any gunshots or gunshots. We do not know who is responsible for this. The whole thing has yet to be 100 percent confirmed from start to finish, how this all played out. But do you expect to hear anything from the Trump campaign about toning down the rhetoric, toning down the violence, or would that be atypical of the former president?”
