WATCH: Megyn Kelly Roasts Dem-Run Government Institutions After Latest Trump Indictment

Top-rated podcaster Megyn Kelly went on a tear against federal institutions, all of which are dominated by the Democrat left, after former President Donald Trump’s latest indictment in Georgia for ‘conspiracy’ to overturn the 2020 election there.

“What this lunatic running the thing in Georgia did yesterday matters,” Kelly said to the “Ruthless” podcast foursome on as her guests. “What Jack Smith is doing matters. What Alvin Bragg did – they are #PartOfTheProblem. It’s not just about partisan politics. It’s about us. It’s about our kids. It’s about our country. It’s about our future.

“It’s about that, as I said, the tether that binds. When nothing else binds. There were certain things we could always count on. The Supreme Court was another one. That’s been completely delegitimized by these partisans on the left. What they’re doing is reckless,” she added.

Later she noted: “I’m not blaming the people who distrust CDC and DOJ and FBI. They’re right to distrust them. I’m blaming the institutions. We use that term ‘they crossed the Rubicon,’ they have crossed it.

“And we’re over here like the duck with the feet under the water furiously saying, ‘What happened? How do we get out of this crazy mess? Why are we dealing with four indictments and the possibility of defunding DOJ and impeaching a president? You know, just to fight fire with fire? This is where we are, how do we get here?’ But yes, it’s the institutions that got us here and I have to say the Democrats are running them,” she added.

During an appearance Monday night on “Hannity,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich laid out a scenario where, based on a presumption among a growing percentage of the American electorate that the indictments of Trump are purely political, the country could begin to come apart.

“I think what you’re seeing tonight is one tree in a forest, and I think we are drifting towards the greatest Constitutional crisis since the 1850s and the rise of secession and the Civil War. I don’t mean that as hyperbole,” he began after Fox News host Sean Hannity asked him for his take on the evolving situation.

“If you read Andy McCarthy’s remarkable book, ‘Ball of Collusion,’ which came out in 2019, he makes very clear that it is Barack Obama who corrupts the Justice Department, it is Hillary Clinton who routinely breaks the law and gets away with it, and now we have Joe Biden who has learned,” Gingrich continued.

“He’s learned from Obama that is doesn’t matter what you do, if you’re a liberal Democrat, you will not be prosecuted. He learned from Hillary that a person in high public office can get millions and millions of dollars. And they learned from watching Donald Trump that a true outsider, willing to take on the entire system could destroy their entire machine,” he added.

“So what you’re seeing across the country, is the desperate, last-ditch effort of the corrupt machine to destroy their most dangerous opponent in a way which not only breaks the Constitution, [but also] destroys the rule of law, and establishes a moment of bitterness that I think will last for a generation or more,” Gingrich said.

“I think this is going to be a horrendous period and we just need to understand, the people who want to control America and dictate to the rest of us will break any law, lie about any topic, and manipulate you any way they can, and that includes a lot of the elite news media,” he said.
