Tucker Carlson Says Moscow Is 'Much Nicer, Safer' Than Most American Cities

Former Fox News star Tucker Carlson, fresh off of is historic interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, praised the country’s capital city and said it compared much more favorably to any number of large American cities.

“What was radicalizing, very shocking, and very disturbing for me was the city of Moscow, where I’d never been, the biggest city in Europe, 13 million people. And it is so much nicer than any city in my country. I had no idea. My father spent a lot of time there working for the U.S. government in the 1980s and it barely had electricity,” he said during the annual World Governments Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates over the weekend.

“And now it is so much cleaner and safer and prettier, aesthetically, the architecture, the food, the service, than cities in the U.S. that you have to — this is not ideological. How did that happen? I don’t think the average person cares as much about abstractions as about the concrete reality of his life,” Carlson continued.

“If you can’t use your subway, for example, as many people are afraid to in New York City because it’s too dangerous, you have to sort of wonder like, isn’t that the ultimate measure of leadership?” he asked.

“It’s radicalizing for an American to go to Moscow. I didn’t know that. I’ve learned it this week, to Singapore, to Tokyo, to Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, because these cities, no matter how we’re told they’re run and on what principles they’re run, are wonderful places to live that don’t have rampant inflation, where you’re not going to get raped,” he added.

In December, Carlson spoke to the “Redacted” podcast about two stories he is too scared to fully report.

One of them involves the various controversies and conspiracies surrounding the 2020 election, and the other is the existence of UFOs, otherwise known as “unidentified aerial phenomena,” or UAPs.

“The second thing that bothers me is the UFO story. The more you dig into that and talk to people with actual knowledge. This is another story where there are some fanciful ideas floating around, but there just isn’t any evidence that they’re true. But if you talk to people who have actual knowledge of this that they gathered themselves, there are parts of that story that I do not understand at all that are really, really, really dark. So dark that I haven’t told my wife about it. I haven’t verified any of this, but this isn’t stuff I just read on the internet,” Carlson said.

“There is some stuff there, like, man, I don’t even know what that means. There’s a spiritual component there that I don’t fully understand. So yes, that story bothers me,” he added.

Carlson did do some reporting on the issue while he was still with Fox News.
