President Joe Biden and the Democrats continue to say that the next election is to “save democracy,” but we may be in a dictatorship as we speak.
That is the opinion of former Republican presidential candidate Doug Bergum, who believes we are living in a dictatorship with President Biden now.
He spoke to Fox News host Martha McCallum, who played a montage of liberals warning that the former president would imprison them, have the IRS audit them, and various other nefarious conspiracies if he ascended to the presidency again.
Among the fear-mongering clips was MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who said, “They’re trying to end the American system of government. They’re trying to bring about a revolution against the American system of government and against the United States of America. And in this story, we’re the Americans.”
Bergum said that the Democrats are rolling with their usual playbook of fear.
“The Democrats seem to have two strategies. One is, be afraid. And the second strategy is, be even more afraid,” the former candidate said.
“There’s no basis at all in these assertions that they’re making. It’s all this fear-mongering. President Trump served as our president for four years. And during that time, we had peace and prosperity. Under Joe Biden, we’re actually living under a dictatorship today where he’s, you know, bypassing Congress on immigration policy. He’s bypassing Congress on protecting our border. He’s bypassing Congress on student loan forgiveness. I mean, he’s defying the Supreme Court,” he said.
“I mean, those are the things that authoritarians and dictators do is they don’t follow our democratic processes, and they just assert their own liberal. And that’s what the Biden administration is doing. So, I think the whole thing is completely ridiculous.
“And I think the thing they’re really afraid of is that President Trump is ahead in the polls with all the groups in America that — and on all the issues that matter most to most Americans, whether it’s the border, whether it’s inflation, whether it’s interest rates, whatever those are, President Trump is leading. And that’s probably the thing that really has them scared,” he said.
