Trump Leading Biden, 3rd Party Contenders, In Six of Seven Key States

Former President Donald Trump has gotten fantastic news in his campaign to become the president again.

A new poll shows that the former president is ahead of President Joe Biden and third-party candidates in six of the seven battleground states.

The only state that does not show Trump ahead of Biden is Michigan, where the two are tied.

As an example, in Arizona, “Trump leads Biden in both a five-way race and a two-way race in Arizona, according to the poll. Trump takes first place in the crowded field with 43 percent of support, followed by Biden at 37 percent,” Breitbart News reported.

“Independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 12 percent is good enough for third place, while independent Cornel West and the Green Party’s Jill Stein take two percent and one percent, respectively. Another four percent of respondents are unsure who they will back, and one percent would not vote,” the report said.

“When Trump is pitted against just Biden in a two-way race in the Grand Canyon State, Trump leads 48 percent to 43 percent. Three percent of respondents would not vote, and five percent are undecided.

“The poll sampled 796 registered voters from March 8 to 14, and the state’s margin of error (MOE) is ± three percentage points. Trump carried Arizona in 2016 over twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton by 3.5 percentage points before Biden narrowly won it in 2020 by .3 percent,” it said.

And then there is Texas, a state that has been targeted by Democrats.

In 2020, Trump defeated Biden in Texas by about 5.5 points, the narrowest victory margin for a Republican presidential candidate in a deeply red state in almost 25 years, Fox News noted.

However, among registered voters, the former president leads his successor in the White House by 11 points (55%–44%), according to the Marist poll, which was conducted from March 18–21.

However, Trump’s advantage among those who say they will definitely cast a ballot in the November election drops to 7 points (53%–46%).

“Independents, who Biden carried by 6 percentage points in 2020, now break for Trump. Trump receives 56% of Texas independents to 41% for Biden,” the release from Marist highlights.

According to the poll, Trump has significantly increased his support among Black and Latino voters, while Biden appears to have lost ground with younger voters.
