Trump Fuels Major VP Speculation With Big-Name Republican As Mar-a-Lago Guest

Rumors surrounding former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential selection gained momentum over the weekend following his attendance at a “mega MAGA” gala hosted at Mar-a-Lago.

The event, titled “Golden Evening for a Golden President,” was organized by The Trumpettes, a fan club devoted to supporting Donald Trump.

The star-studded event featured actor Robert Davi, who improvised a version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” in which he crooned, “Trump did it his way.” Also, Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tore into “communist Democrats” who are “coming after your money.”

However, one notable figure made an entrance alongside Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump — Vivek Ramaswamy, who withdrew from the presidential race and is rumored to be among those considered for Trump’s vice-presidential shortlist.

“I wonder if Vivek will be vice president? I have never been so impatient in my life to know who the VP pick is. Waiting sucks,” an X user wrote.

“This is what the country needs. President and VP. This needs to happen,” wrote another user.

“I think God anointed him to save this country,” event organizer Toni Holt Kramer, president of the support group Trumpettes USA, told the audience at Mar-a-Lago’s main ballroom on Saturday. “America is the love of his life. He’s got the biggest heart, the smartest mind, and the strongest way. There’s no one else like him.”

According to a report from The Messenger, which interviewed twelve prominent Republicans, including some Trump advisors, the list of potential running mates for Trump in 2024 has been narrowed down to a select few.

Rumors suggest that Trump is considering a female candidate for running mate, with two high-profile names emerging as top contenders: South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik.

Noem, a popular red-state governor who has endorsed Trump, has been increasingly mentioned in reports as someone Trump favors.

In a recent interview with Real America’s Voice streaming network, Noem discussed various topics, including the possibility of being Trump’s running mate.

“Well, there’s a lot of people they’re talking about for vice president… I have long supported President Trump; he had his priorities right when he was leading this country,” Noem said.

Trump has also voiced his support for Noem.

As for Stefanik, she appears to be making her case to become the leading 2024 contender to be his running mate.

On Thursday, the New York Republican strongly suggested she would not have certified the 2020 election results as president of the Senate if she were Trump’s vice president instead of Mike Pence.

“I would not have done what Mike Pence did. I don’t think that was the right approach,” Stefanik told CNN. “I specifically stand by what I said on the House floor.”

She refused to vote to certify the 2020 election results, arguing that there was “unconstitutional overreach” in states like Pennsylvania, where election laws were altered by state officials and courts, not the legislature, as called for in the U.S. Constitution.

“I think it’s very important that we continue to stand up for the Constitution and have legal and secure elections, which we did not have in 2020,” Stefanik said.
