Trump Condemns Murder of Laken Riley by Illegal Immigrant, Blasts Biden's Response as "Incompetent"

Former President Trump has condemned the tragic murder of Laken Riley, allegedly by an illegal migrant, criticizing President Biden’s handling of the situation. During his visit to the border, Trump expressed his sympathy for Riley’s parents, describing them as “devastated” and emphasizing his commitment to remembering her, Fox reports.

“This is a Joe Biden invasion. A Biden invasion. I call him crooked Joe… the most incompetent president we’ve ever had,” Trump declared, blaming Biden for the circumstances surrounding Riley’s death.

While Trump highlighted Riley’s case during his visit, President Biden, who was also at the border, failed to mention her in his remarks, drawing criticism from Trump and his supporters.

Detailing the brutal nature of Riley’s murder, Trump described her as “a beautiful young woman” who was “brutally assaulted, horrifically beaten, kidnapped, and savagely murdered.”

Trump attributed Riley’s death to an illegal immigrant released into communities under Biden’s administration, lambasting Biden for his immigration policies and labeling him as “Crooked Joe.”

During his visit to Eagle Pass, Texas, Trump met with state officials and received briefings on border security, reiterating his criticism of Biden’s handling of the border crisis.

“I call him Crooked Joe because he’s crooked and he’s a terrible president, the worst president our country has ever had, probably the most incompetent president we’ve ever had,” Trump continued, emphasizing the influx of individuals from various nations crossing the border.

Highlighting the severity of the border situation, Trump likened it to “a war” and stressed the need for robust measures to address it.

Meanwhile, the suspect in Riley’s murder, Jose Antonio Ibarra, a Venezuelan national, entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 and had previous encounters with law enforcement. Despite his arrest history, he was released before an ICE detainer could be issued, partly due to NYC’s status as a “sanctuary city.”

Riley’s tragic death has reignited debates surrounding immigration policies and enforcement measures, with Trump and his allies using her case to underscore the failures of current border security strategies.
