Trump Arrives at Border, Vows to End Crisis: "Wouldn't Be Going to Hell On My Watch!"

Donald Trump arrived at Del Rio Airport in Texas around 1pm local time on Thursday, beginning his much-anticipated visit to the southern border, Fox News reports.

Addressing supporters outside the terminal, he pledged to address the crisis, asserting that under his leadership, the situation wouldn’t deteriorate, saying that the situation “wouldn’t be going to hell” on his watch.

Trump described the border as dangerous but expressed determination to resolve it. His campaign labeled the border a “crime scene,” placing blame on President Joe Biden.

Trump swiftly got to work, meeting with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and members of the state national guard.

During his visit, border agents showcased the severity of the situation, allowing Trump firsthand insight into the challenges at the border.
