Ted Cruz Makes Stunning Prediction About Biden Ahead of 2024

Sen. Ted Cruz made a prediction about President Joe Biden on Monday ahead of his State of the Union address that has some heads turning.

The Texas Republican said he doesn’t believe that Biden is going to run for reelection, which, if true, would explain why the president hasn’t made a formal declaration yet.

Prior to the speech, reports noted that Biden was expected to announce a reelection bid after his speech, which was widely panned by Republicans for a number of false claims.

“I’m here to tell you, Joe Biden’s not going to run in ‘24. I do not believe he will be the Democrat nominee in ’24,” Cruz predicted on Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime.

Cruz said ambitious Democrats such as Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and California Gov. Gavin Newsom see Kamala Harris “in their way,” describing the vice president as a “train wreck” and intimating strongly that she won’t be the nominee for her party if Biden does step away.

“Listen, when Democrats want to kill each other, they have the New York Times on speed dial number one. … I think all the ambitious Democrats are measuring the drapes … and so these knives are coming from every direction,” said Cruz.

He went on to speculate why Biden stuck Harris having to deal with the chaotic southwestern border, which has only gotten worse since.

“There’s a reason why Kamala has been given one and only one job responsibility in the Biden presidency. You’re in charge of the southern border. Now, you don’t give your vice president the biggest mess in your presidency unless you really dislike your vice president,” the Texas Republican said.

He also addressed the Chinese spy balloon, calling it a “disgrace” for it to be allowed to cross the continental U.S.

“[Biden] let this balloon hover over sensitive military facilities, presumably taking photographs, taking infrared, no doubt trying to intercept communications and likely sending all of that data up to satellites and back to Beijing. And after a week after it had completed its mission, only then did Biden discover the courage to shoot the damn thing down.”

As for Harris, a New York Times story published recently quoted several anonymous Democrats who attacked her over her unpopularity and predicted as well that she would not replace Biden.

“Even some Democrats whom her own advisers referred reporters to for supportive quotes confided privately that they had lost hope in her,” says the report from Zolan Kanno-Youngs, Katie Rogers, and Peter Baker.

The report went on to note that a “panic” has emerged within Democratic ranks as many begin to question whether an 80-year-old Biden will even run again, leaving Harris as the next obvious, though unappealing, choice.

“Through much of the fall, a quiet panic set in among key Democrats about what would happen if President Biden opted not to run for a second term. Most Democrats interviewed, who insisted on anonymity to avoid alienating the White House, said flatly that they did not think Ms. Harris could win the presidency in 2024,” the Times report noted. “Some said the party’s biggest challenge would be finding a way to sideline her without inflaming key Democratic constituencies that would take offense.”
