Taylor Greene Says She'll Vote For Trump In '24 Even If He's In Jail

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized the Biden administration and Democratic prosecutors for their repeated indictments against former President Donald Trump, while expressing steadfast support for him.

In a sequence of social media posts, the Georgia Republican lawmaker declared her intention to vote for Trump even if he were to be incarcerated. In one tweet, Greene characterized the recent charges as “a communist attack” on Americans’ freedom to choose their leaders.

She declared, “I will still vote for Trump even if he’s in jail. This is a communist attack on America’s first amendment to vote for who THE PEOPLE want for President by an attempt to take Trump off the ballots through a politically weaponized DOJ. People know exactly what this is.”

After the indictments, the Georgia Republican reiterated her call for the impeachment of President Joe Biden. She emphasized that it was not for political retribution but due to what she claims is a “mountain” of corruption “evidence” now in possession of the GOP.

“Republicans need to open their eyes. The media is going to do their best to try to say impeaching Biden is political paybacks. That’s 100% BULLSH*T. Impeachment of Biden is because he’s a CRIMINAL and we have a mountain of evidence proving it and gaining more daily. Don’t fall for the stupid plays of media spin and interview pressures. DO THE RIGHT THING. Impeach the CRIMINAL IN CHEIF [sic]!!!” she tweeted.

She also has called for Trump’s two impeachments to be expunged.

“These egregious impeachments must be expunged,” Greene posted on the X platform, formally known as Twitter. “They are stains on the House of Representatives that should not be allowed to stand. It’s simple. If you voted NO on impeachment then you should be able to easily vote YES to expungement.”

She added: “The indictments of President Trump is a political assassination attempt by Joe Biden and his henchmen to remove the leading presidential candidate from the ballot in 2024. The American people will reelect President Trump!”

Greene has not succeeded in rallying enough support from fellow Republicans to take action against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his perceived failure to address the surge of migrants crossing into the country illegally.

In recent weeks, her attempt to impeach him for dereliction of duty fell short, but she declared on Sunday, in an interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, that she plans to make another attempt after the Thanksgiving holiday.

“This time, the Republicans in Congress better deliver different results,” Greene said on “Sunday Morning Futures.” “Mayorkas must be impeached, and the invasion must stop.”

“Americans deserve security and sovereignty. After the holiday break, I’ll reintroduce my articles to impeach Secretary Mayorkas. Congress must choose between protecting our homeland or the Biden regime. I will not stop fighting for border security and the rule of law,” she wrote on the X platform in a post that contained a video clip of her interview.
