According to Newsweek, a new study evaluating global COVID-19 responses found that lockdowns “did not provide significantly more benefits to slowing the spread of the disease than other voluntary measures…”
The study was conducted by Stanford researchers and analyzed the growth in COVID cases in 10 countries in early 2020.
“The study compared cases in England, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and the U.S. – all countries that implemented mandatory lockdown orders and business closures – to South Korea and Sweden, which implemented less severe, voluntary responses. It aimed to analyze the effect that less restrictive or more restrictive measures had on changing individual behavior and curbing the transmission of the virus,” writes Newsweek.
The researchers found “no clear, significant beneficial effect [of more restrictive measures] on case growth in any country.”
There has been a growing chorus of strict lockdown proponents doing complete 180s as it relates to their COVID policies, and now politicians like New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot are breathlessly claiming they must reopen businesses quickly.
Earlier this week, Cuomo tweeted, “We simply cannot stay closed until the vaccine hits critical mass. The cost is too high. We will have nothing left to open. We must reopen the economy, but we must do it smartly and safely.”

Lightfoot said reopening is imperative because the closures forced residents into “secret, underground parties in hotels and businesses.”
“If we have people and give them an outlet for entertainment … we have much more of an opportunity, in my view, to be able to regulate and control that environment,” Lightfoot said.
“Let’s bring it out of the shadows. Let’s allow them to have some recreation in restaurants, in bars, where we can actually work with responsible owners and managers to regulate and protect people from COVID-19.”
These Democrat leaders couldn’t even wait for Biden’s inauguration to do an about-face on their COVID policies which we all know were put in place to damage President Trump’s legacy.
Kamala Harris Promoted a Bail Fund That Won't Share Records of Alleged Criminals it Helped Spring From Jail
Kamala Harris promoted a bail fund that reportedly helped bail out many accused and convicted criminals. One being a convicted rapist and another an accused murderer.
Harris promoted the fund to help rioters get out of jail in Minnesota and around the country, the same rioters that left billions of dollars of damage in their wake, following the death of George Floyd.

Harris’s support for the organization amid the riots last year was one of the factors that helped the Minnesota Freedom Fund realize a reported windfall of tens of millions of dollars, a gargantuan increase over the group’s 2018 returns of around $100,000.
Yet the bail fund was mired in controversy over the summer due to reports that it had helped spring from jail multiple alleged violent criminals, including at least one individual with multiple rape convictions on his rap sheet.
A review by the Washington Post found that MFF helped bail out of jail one individual who allegedly shot at police officers during riots in Minnesota.
Local Fox affiliate KMSP, meanwhile, found that among those who received bail money from the MFF were also “a woman accused of killing a friend [and] a twice convicted sex offender.”

DNI Ratcliffe: Chinese Election Interference Efforts Suppressed by CIA
In a letter to Congress, Director of National Intelligence (DNI) John Ratcliffe claims that China interfered in the 2020 election and that information was suppressed by CIA “management.
The Epoch Times reports that Ratcliffe wrote in the letter, “From my unique vantage point as the individual who consumes all of the U.S. government’s most sensitive intelligence on the People’s Republic of China, I do not believe the majority view expressed by Intelligence Community (IC) analysts fully and accurately reflects the scope of the Chinese government’s efforts to influence the 2020 U.S. federal elections.”
Ratcliffe cited a report by the IC’s Analytic Ombudsman Barry Zulauf, which claimed that intelligence analysts applied different standards when reporting on Russia and Chinese election interference. The analysts were quick to label Russian election interference but were reluctant to do the same for China.
Zulauf’s report stated, “Given analytic differences in the way Russia and China analysts examined their targets, China analysts appeared hesitant to assess Chinese actions as undue influence or interference.”
“These analysts appeared reluctant to have their analysis on China brought forward because they tended to disagree with the Administration’s policies, saying in effect, ‘I don’t want our intelligence used to support those policies.”
Ratcliffe’s letter concludes that the People’s Republic of China “sought to influence” the 2020 U.S. federal elections and raised the need for the Intelligence Community to address the issues.
