Public School Teachers Work With Administrators to Ignore Pronoun Preferences of Student's Parents

It’s no wonder more conservatives are taking up the battle to reclaim school boards: It is obvious that in many places around the country, woke leftists on school boards within school administration and teacher’s lounges are conspiring against parental rights and parental wishes.

The latest case in point: School admin and teachers have been busted bragging about ignoring the requests of parents to refer to their children by their given names and birth-gender pronouns.

According to the Daily Mail, during a virtual “Creating and Sustaining GSAs in Elementary Schools” meeting in April, Katy Butler, a second-grade public school teacher at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy in San Francisco asked other panelists about the use of pronouns when referring to their students.

Butler asked the panel, “What should we do if a parent requests that we refer to their child by the pronouns associated with their sex assigned at birth instead of their preferred pronouns, and that we use a legal name instead of a student’s chosen name?”

This shouldn’t even be an issue, much less a question for discussion, but this is the point we’ve gotten to in America: The hard left is coming hard for our kids because they know propagandizing them while their young is much easier than trying to convince them of something later in life.

Citing the report, The Blaze noted:

Butler, the creator of Gender Inclusive Classrooms, the group that organized the panel, subsequently opened the floor to the other three panelists, who were all staffers at public schools across the country.

One panelist, Kieran Slattery, a fifth-grade teacher in Massachusetts who co-created Gender Inclusive Classrooms with Butler, proceeded to tell the forum that he ignores instructions given to him by parents.

Slattery, who teaches at Jackson Street Elementary, said: “So, I can respond with something that I’ve done. This came up for me – it’s come up in a couple different ways – but it’s come up for me where caregivers asked. I actually refer to their child’s name … using the name they asked to be referred to and their chosen pronouns, and caregivers reacted very strongly.”

‘Caregivers,’ not parents. The left is always attempting to change the language so they can change the culture.

He added that parents “followed up with me and the principal, and said, like, ‘I know you were using a different name than my child’s given name at birth and the pronouns we gave them, and I’m respectfully asking that you use the name and the pronouns that we gave them.’”

“The laws in every state are different … and I can’t speak to the laws in everyone’s particular state, but I will say – again, the resources that we’ll give you after this have some helpful sites where you can look up what the rules are for your state,” he noted further.

He went on to say that before he decided to go against parental wishes he asked his school administration if they would support him in his quest to propagandize students with gender-fluid ideology.

“Before I responded to the caregiver, I made sure I ran it by my principal and my superintendent just to make sure that they had my back,” he said.

If parents do not continue to push back hard against this blatant attempt to subvert their will, their children will be permanently harmed, mentally, by people who could not care less what they are doing to them.

In that vein, the left constantly asks their supporters to “run for something.” Conservatives should do the same, and school boards are a great place to start.
