In another gruesome caught-on-camera incident over the weekend, a freedom-fighting military veteran lost his life. While attending a pro-police “Patriot Rally” in Denver on Saturday, Lee Keltner reportedly exchanged words with a man named Matthew Dolloff. Dolloff was allegedly hired as a private security guard through a security company called Pinkerton, by Denver’s local news station, 9NEWS.

Denver Police Chief of investigations Joe Montoya said “there was a verbal altercation that transpired. A firearm was discharged. An individual was shot and pronounced deceased. There were two guns recovered at the scene.” Keltner was shot point-blank in front of his 24-year-old son. Keltner’s mother identified her son in a post on the Facebook group Northeast Arkansas Tea Party Group.

“My son Lee was at the patriot rally today in Denver. After the rally, a person on the BLM and Antifa side went up to him said a few nasty words and shot him in the head. He was murdered because he backed the police” wrote Keltner’s mother Carol. A series of photos from the incident show Keltner and Dolloff in close proximity. Keltner appears to punch Dolloff in the face and then sprayed him with mace. As the mace erupted through the air, Dolloff takes out a handgun and shoots Keltner.

Once Dolloff was identified as the shooter, his former social media posts were unearthed. In 2016 Dolloff posted on Facebook about seeing a Trump supporter who wore “a Trump button on their shirt.” He referred to it as a racist button. “#F**ktrump” is how he ended the post. In 2017 Dolloff said there were “no more checks and balances” in the executive branch and called the administration a “fascist dictatorship.”

According to Police Chief Montoya, “there was a large presence because we had two groups with opposing views, and we know that can always get very tense” Montoya said of Saturday’s rallies. “There’s always potential for violence, we understand that.” Fox News reports attendees of the dual protests included “the ‘Patriot Muster’ pro-police groups and a ‘Black Lives Matter Anti-Fascist Soup Drive,’ the latter of which included Denver Communists, Colorado Socialist Revolution, Anon Resistance Movement, W.I.T.C.H. Denver, H.O.E.S. (Help on Every Street) and Front Range Mutual Aid Network.”
