President Biden Interviewed by Special Council in Probe of Improper Handling Classified Documents

President Joe Biden participated in an interview as part of an ongoing investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Hur into his handling of classified documents.

This inquiry stems from the discovery of a “small number of documents with classified markings” at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022, Fox News Digital reports, who report: “The interview was voluntary and concluded Monday, White House Counsel’s Office spokesperson Ian Sams” said to the outlet.

“The voluntary interview was conducted at the White House over two days, Sunday and Monday, and concluded Monday,” he said.

“As we have said from the beginning, the President and the White House are cooperating with this investigation, and as it has been appropriate, we have provided relevant updates publicly, being as transparent as we can consistent with protecting and preserving the integrity of the investigation,” Sams said.

The National Archives promptly took possession of these documents, and the White House has consistently emphasized its cooperation with the investigation. The interview occurred over two days, concluding on Monday, showcasing the administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

Notably, similar interviews with past presidents, such as George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, have occurred during investigations into significant matters.

This interview is expected to shed light on the handling of classified documents during President Biden’s tenure as vice president.

This development took place against the backdrop of President Biden addressing pressing international concerns, including the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, underscoring his administration’s inability to manage both domestic and global issues simultaneously.
