Open-Border Dems Rip GOP Governors For Sending Migrants North To VP's Residence, Martha's Vineyard

Democrats who have embraced ‘open borders’ and “sanctuary cities” for illegal immigrants for years are now complaining that they are being forced to deal with them.

For months, governors of border states including Arizona and Texas, as well as Florida, have been busing or flying migrants who have crossed illegally into the country to blue cities including Washington, D.C., New York City, and Chicago, as a way of forcing Democrat leaders to deal with at least a fraction of the problem the border states have had to deal with since Joe Biden’s reversals of nearly all of President Donald Trump’s border policies.

But now, those governors are upping their game, as Fox News reported Thursday:

Lawmakers in Massachusetts were tasked with caring for dozens of migrants Wednesday after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sent two planes full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, a ritzy island located in Dukes County.

That drop-off preceded two busloads of migrants being sent by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to Vice President Kamala Harris’ Naval Observatory residence in Washington, D.C., both of which have angered Democrats:

On Wednesday, Democratic lawmakers voiced their criticism online after they were forced to act swiftly to provide them shelter, food, blankets and other necessities to the 50 migrants who now reside in their state.

Rep. Dylan Fernandes, a local lawmaker who represents Martha’s Vineyard as well as Falmouth, Nantucket and Gosnold, said on social media that he was part of the logistical effort to welcome the migrants, which he claimed DeSantis sent “to gain cheap political points.”

“Pulling into Martha’s Vineyard right now. An island that welcomes immigrants and is stronger and more vibrant because of them,” he wrote in one of several tweets.

“Currently immigrants are being dropped off on Martha’s Vineyard by chartered flights from Texas,” he said in another tweet. “Many don’t know where they are. They say they were told they would be given housing and jobs. Islanders were given no notice but are coming together as a community to support them.”

He later described the drop-off as “evil and inhumane” and accused Republicans of using human lives “as political pawns” — though by supporting Biden’s open-border policies, Democrats are putting millions of lives in danger of being exploited and sexually abused by brutal smuggling cartels, including children.

DeSantis has repeatedly threatened to send more migrants to Democratic enclaves for them to have to deal with, and he continues to make good on it. The flights to Martha’s Vineyard were part of that ongoing effort.

Meanwhile, other GOP governors who are dealing with the ill effects of Biden’s policies and are experiencing record-high illegal immigration are following suit. And they aren’t shy about pushing back on Democrat complaints.

“D.C. is experiencing a fraction of the disastrous impact the border crisis has caused Texas. Mayor [Muriel] Bowser should stop attacking Texas for securing the border & demand Joe Biden do his job,” Abbott clapped back at the mayor last week when she complained about him sending migrants to the nation’s capital.
