Musk Says Minor Offenders Will Be Released From Twitter Jail

New Twitter owner, Tesla and Space X CEO Elon Musk said that those who have been suspended for “minor and dubious reasons” would be allowed to have their Twitter accounts reinstated.

“Anyone suspended for minor & dubious reasons will be freed from Twitter jail,” Musk said in a tweet on Friday after a question from Mikhaila Peterson, daughter of author and psychologist Jordan Peterson.

“@elonmusk can you bring my dad @jordanbpeterson back on here but also somehow make sure he doesn’t spend all his time on Twitter?” she asked, to which Musk gave his response.

Musk’s comments come shortly after he revealed that Twitter would be forming a “content moderation council” made up of people with “widely diverse viewpoints.”

Many hope to see the likes of former President Donald Trump be un-suspended, though Trump himself has said that he would not be returning to the platform and instead would stick to Truth Social, his own social media site.

“Last week [Truth Social] had bigger numbers than all other platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and the rest,” Trump wrote. “It also looks and works better to my eye.

“I am very happy that Twitter is now in sane hands, and will no longer be run by Radical Left Lunatics and Maniacs that truly hate our country. Twitter must now work hard to rid itself of all of the bots and fake accounts that have hurt it so badly. It will be much smaller, but better. I LOVE TRUTH!”

Musk has said that “No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes.”
