MTG Joins New York Young Republicans in Rally Against Indictment of Former President Trump

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene participated in a protest outside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse, along with the New York Young Republicans Club, on Tuesday, against the indictment of former President Donald Trump. The former President is set to be arraigned later that day.

Greene addressed the crowd, which was being pushed back by police officers due to the presence of protestors and media. She stated that she came to New York City to “peacefully protest against the persecution of an innocent man.”

In a video clip shared by Meech Memez, some protestors could be heard calling her a “fascist,” but Greene remained steadfast in her beliefs. “This is the former President of the United States of America. And the government has been weaponized against him,” she said.

“I’m here to protest and use my voice to take a stand. Every American should take a stand. This is what happens in the Communist countries, not the United States of America. We have to take a stand against the injustice, the corruption, and the Communist Democrats.”

“Donald J. Trump is innocent,” Greene proclaimed.

She further called on Americans to take a stand against “injustice, corruption, and the Communist Democrats,” stating that “Donald J. Trump is innocent.” However, her speech was interrupted by protestors blowing whistles in an attempt to drown her out. One left-wing activist even admitted to bringing whistles to the protest for this specific purpose.

Congresswoman Greene also directed her criticism towards New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who had accused her of “hate speech” in a statement issued on Monday. She said, “Also, to Mayor Adams, as you can see, I’m standing here peacefully protesting, but you called me out by name.”

Greene went on to criticize the mayor for allowing crime on the streets and sending people to disrupt the protest with loud noises and assault against police officers.

She then accused the Democrats of being the party of violence, stating that they “cheered” on the 2020 riots and allowed cities to be burned.
