MTG Calls On GOP to Censure Anti-Semite Rashida Tlaib

Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia has urged fellow House Republicans to support her censure resolution against Democratic Representative Rashida Tlaib from Michigan.

Tlaib faced criticism from both sides of the political spectrum for her response to the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Greene believes Tlaib should be held accountable for her actions and views the censure as a moral imperative, Fox News Digital reports.

Greene introduced the censure resolution, pointing to Tlaib’s involvement in a Capitol Hill protest during the Israel-Gaza conflict, referring to it as an “insurrection” and highlighting Tlaib’s criticisms of the Israeli government.

However, Democrats largely see Greene’s resolution as a political tool. In response, a Democratic representative introduced a censure against Greene, accusing her of various forms of hatred.

Greene, dismissing the Democratic move as retaliation for her resolution against Tlaib, emphasized the need for Republican support.

Despite some Republicans being uncertain or leaning against the censure, Greene is pushing for accountability, suggesting a divide within the House regarding the censure resolution.

“I do hope that our Republican majority can come together to do what is right. The Constitution offers us a pathway to hold each other accountable for our actions, and Rashida Tlaib must be held to account,” Greene said in the letter obtained by Fox News Digital. “This is a critical moment for our party’s values and principles… Supporting my censure resolution of Rashida Tlaib is not just a matter of political necessity but a moral and ethical imperative.”

“In retaliation for filing this censure resolution, Democrats launched their own effort, filled with a litany of lies, to censure me to protect their terrorist-sympathizing colleague,” Greene wrote.

“The hypocrisy of the Democrats knows no bounds, so I am not relying on them to censure Tlaib for her blatant antisemitic and evil rhetoric. But I do hope that our Republican majority can come together to do what is right,” she stated.
